Caregiver Network
Sometimes, taking care of a person makes you feel good, because you are providing love and comfort. Other times it can be overwhelming. You may see changes in the person that are hard to understand. Also, each day presents you with new challenges. You may find yourself dealing with problem behaviors or just trying to get through the day. You may not even realize how much you have taken on because the changes can happen slowly over a long period of time.
In a perfect world, every person suffering from a long-term illness, recovering from an injury, or dealing with the challenges of aging would have a network of family or friends to assist with their daily needs. Often, that simply is not the case. Today’s busy lifestyles mean that family and friends simply don’t have the time or resources to consistently care for a loved one at home. The need for dependable, caring and qualified non-medical home care creates daunting challenges.
